Writer's Forum

Join Deb McDonald of Garden District Bookshop and Sherry Lee Alexander, journalist and faculty member at the School of Mass Communication at Loyola University, for an insider's look at the story behind today's best-selling non-fiction, mysteries, novels, and poetry.

 

Interviews include: Walter Isaacson, author of the NY Times #1 best-seller Einstein: His Life and Universe; Debbie Macomber, who has sold 70 million copies of more than 150 romance titles; (the now of-late) Bebe Moore Campbell; and the original Sweet Potato Queen her very own self, Jill Connner Browne.

Many members of New Orleans' rich literary community have discussed their books, including poet/essayist Andrei Codrescu, mystery writer Julie Smith, historian Patricia Brady, columnist Ronnie Virgets, and author Jason Berry.  Writer's Forum is heard Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. (rebroadcast Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m).

The Chef Show

Hosted by Mary Sonnier, The Chef Show has featured such international culinary celebrities as Daniel Boulud.  Mary operates The Uptowner (reception hall and catering company) and has had her delicious recipes featured in Food & Wine, Bon Apetit, Oprah, and more!  Join Mary every Friday at 2:30 p.m. when she dishes it up with the best and the brightest of the culinary world (rebroadcast Saturdays at 5 p.m.).
