Periodicals

The blind and visually impaired, tune-in to local news during WRBH’s presentation of The Newspaper of the Air. This program draws from the online version of the New Orleans Advocate, The Times Picayune and Nola.com.

The blind and visually impaired receive online coverage of breaking news and current headlines from the US and around the world from The Wall Street Journal.

We also read from several local publications each week including: The Lens, Gambit, City Business and the Lagniappe.

The blind and visually impaired tune-in to readings of Vanity Fair“, a magazine which features information on popular culture, fashion, and current affairs.

The blind and visually impaired have access to Rolling Stone magazine, which includes: music reviews, movie reviews, musical artists, free MP3s, and photos of pop culture entertainers.

The popular magazine Reason gives WRBH users access to information covering politics, culture, and ideas through a provocative mix of news, analysis, commentary, and reviews.

The blind and visually impaired can tune-in to The National Geographic a magazine that is a world leader in geography, cartography and exploration.

The blind and visually impaired have access to SELF Magazine online which feature each month, health calculators, workout slide shows, and fitness forums.

The blind and visually impaired tune-in to the monthly magazine, Popular Science“, to see what’s new and what’s next in technology, science, gadgets, space, and more.

WRBH features readings from Newsweek“, which provides in-depth analysis, news and opinion about international issues, technology, business, culture and politics.

The blind and visually impaired can access TIME“, a magazine featuring breaking news and analysis on politics, world news, photos, video, tech reviews, health, science and entertainment news.

The Week magazine offers WRBH users: political news and cartoons, current events and entertainment.

The blind and visually impaired have access to Sports Illustrated”, a magazine featuring sports news, scores, photos, columns and expert analysis from the world of sports

The blind and visually impaired have access to the The New Yorker” – a magazine that features reports, profiles, daily news, cultural coverage, podcasts, videos, and cartoons.
