For 32 years, WRBH has been serving its mission to turn the printed word into the spoken word so that the blind and print handicapped can receive the same ease of access to current information as their sighted peers. WRBH seeks to empower, inform, and entertain a segment of the population that is much larger than most people realize. WRBH’s audience includes the blind and illiterate as well as individuals who are unable to read due to illness, spinal cord injuries, eye muscle damage, learning disabilities, lack of access to print media, and loss of vision due to age. WRBH also provides content that is of interest to the general public such as local and national news, best-selling novels, children’s books, and programs encouraging cultural, educational, and emotional enrichment. Thanks to countless hours donated by over 150 volunteers, WRBH’s programming is on the air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
WRBH is made possible in part thanks to a generous donation from

A little about WRBH Reading Radio:
WRBH 88.3 FM, Radio for the Blind and Print Handicapped, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the only full-time reading service on the FM dial in the United States. At WRBH, our mission is to turn the printed word into the spoken word so that the blind and print handicapped receive the same ease of access to current information as their sighted peers.
It is always nice to receive letters from listeners letting us know that they appreciate what we do. We received this wonderful letter in the mail recently. This makes all of the hard work we put into the station totally worth it.
Saint Lucy Medal
New Orleans based company SaintsforSinners has created a medal of Saint Lucy, the Patron Saint of blindness, for WRBH. 100% of the money raised from sales of these medals will go towards continuing the 24 hour a day, seven day a week programming that WRBH does. Each medal is imported from Italy and hand painted by SaintsforSinners. Please visit the Saint Lucy Medal page of our website for more information and to order your medal.
